Residencies may be grade-level specific or for the whole school, with
developmentally-appropriate activities for each grade.
Residencies may also be shared among schools in a district.
Programs are designed to meet State of Connecticut Physical Education Standards.
Circus Gymnasium
Turn your gym into a big-top! Students work both individually and co-operatively to
master challenging skills and create new tricks. Following are the skills presented
at various grade levels:
Grades K-2
Activities include group and individual juggling games, mime/clowning, peacock
feather balancing, ring juggling, plate-spinning and poi.
Grades 3-5
Activities include those listed above plus ball juggling, dance sticks (devil sticks),
diabolos and stilt-walking (hand-held).
Grades 6-12
Activities include those listed above, emphasizing advanced skills and techniques,
plus unicycling and club juggling.
Teambuilding
Ideal for kick-offs, orientations, inter-school programs and even teacher in-service
workshops! Participants work co-operatively in a variety of large and small groups
to meet intellectual and physical challenges with creativity and laughter. Activities
are customized by age and interest.
